reCarb offers bio-based plastics made of fully or partially bio-based and renewably sourced carbon based products.

Globally there is emphasis to reduce dependency on fossil fuel and urge to use natural and renewable resources to make packaging materials of short life.

There is tremendous scope to use plant based materials like corn, sugarcane, agri waste, biomass etc to replace several durable and single use plastics.

reCarb collaborated with German based natural fibre technology company JRS and India’s premier research organization CSIR-IICT to develop wide range of durable and single use plastic products based on natural fibre / cellulose materials.

Polypropylene / Cellulose /Lignin / Wood Fibre composites (DPP 01)

Polypropylene(PP) is a widely used light weight durable material that has penetrated in consumer products and automotive interior / functional parts.

PP is a fossil fuel based material produced about 100 million tons per year. It is important to reduce the fossil fuel consumption to address fossil dependency and also climate change.

Partial replacement of PP is possible by incorporating natural fibre/cellulose fibre in it and provide required functional properties to endues.

reCarb has developed PP based compounds using 10/20/30/40/50 % of natural fibre in the compounds which can be used for moulding consumer goods, stationery, automotive parts etc.Products are customized to suit application demand.

High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) / Cellulose /Lignin / Wood Fibre composites (DHD01)

HDPE is a widely used in packaging bottles, chemical storage bottles, pesticide bottles, crates and furniture products.

HDPE is a fossil fuel based material produced about 70 million tons per year. It is important to reduce the fossil fuel consumption to address fossil dependency and also climate change.

Partial replacement of HDPE is possible by incorporating natural fibre/cellulose fibre in it and provide required functional properties to endues.

reCarb has developed HDPE based compounds using 10/20/30/40/50/60/70 % of natural fibre in the compounds which can be used for injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion products.Products are customized to suit application demand.

Polylactic acid is made of renewable sources like sugar cane and its annually renewable. It has excellent balance of mechanical and heat properties. Its industrial composting material and the life of the product can be tuned to degradable or semi durable or durable.
